III Junior High School Festival of European Songs passed 

         The Festival was on 9th April 2005 in the concert hall of MOK. The teenagers from some Junior High Schools from our district took place in the festival:

Junior High School in Kroczyce presented an Italian song
Junior High School in Kromołów - a Greece song
Junior High School no 3 in Zawiercie - a Polish song
Junior High School in Poręba - a British song
Junior High School no 1 in Zawiercie - a French song
Junior High School in Ogrodzieniec - an Irish song
Junior High School no 2 in Zawiercie - a Duch song

         Our school was represented by Magdalena Sienko from class II c who sang the song "A Beautiful Morning" of the band ACE of Base.
        The contest was estimated by a really professional jury: p.Mrs Renata Danel - a singer and a lecturer in Jazz and Entertainment Department of Music Academy in Katowice, Mr Sławomir Kurzak - choreographer from Oświęcim and Arkadiusz Kaliński - a teacher from the Music School in Dąbrowa Górnicza.
         The leader of the jury was Mrs Renata Danel. 

         As usual, the friends of our school honored us by their presence:

Motto of the present edition of the contest was:
" Can Europe be liked"

         To get to know the answer to the question we and the singers took a trip around our continent. The characters of the television programme "Can Europe be liked" accompanied us in the unusual trip: fascinating, as usual, Monika (Martyna Kawalec), resolute Kevin (Igor Zagała) and charming Steffen (Michał Domżalski).
         We visited Italy, looked in to Greece, then we returned to Poland for a moment, after a while we went to Great Britain, to Ireland and finally to France.
         The atmosphere during the festival was really hot and it was still increasing. The hottest point of the festival was when the Jury started to work. To make the pressure lower the comperes started to tell jokes so we could get to know English, German and Polish sense of humor.          The Junior High School no 3 in Zawiercie got I place, our school got II place and III place was given to the Junior High School no1 in Zawiercie.
         As the organizers of the festival we didn't forget about thing prizes because a student needs something more than satisfaction to live.
         In the end we could listen to the winners once more in the song "Red beads."
         During our music tour we managed to make the whole continent sing and we also got the answer to the question "Can Europe be liked?" It occurred that the answer was yes. Despite the differences between our cultures we are complementary to one another.
